I used to feel sorry for them but I found out they are liars..once i was stopped by a woman with a baby and she asked me for mony to feed her son(the baby was wearing pink and with an earring ) I told her hey mish 3arfeh sho 7amelh b eedek??

.I never give money to women with children..once a woman was offered a job paying 90 jds working in a factory..she laughed and said..90? thats one day work..at least

what scares me is seeing little girls in the streets at nite..they are at grave danger,I saw one the other day she was a pretty 1 year old and two men in a car just kept talking to her..

now selling 3elket sha3rawi is another way to beg

the only people I give money to are old people,i don’t care if they are liars or not but at their age they are supposed to be home resting not wandering in the streets

Well, I noticed this when I was in Amman last year and in Aqaba as well. Ljubljana has beggars, but not as many. Interestingly enough, the most I have ever seen was in Montreal, Canada. It was really unbelievable and something once happened to me to lead me to believe that Lammoush is right. On more than one occassion when walking the streets of Montreal this summer, I was approached my many beggars who were not locals. One guy had come from Chicago, another from NYC, a few guys from other Canadian cities… and the reason they came to Montreal? “Because they heard that beggars make a lot of money there”. (brings new meaning to the concept “labour migration”).
Well, I rarely give them money…normally I ask if they are hungry and if so, perhaps buy them a sandwich or something… But seeriously, people in Montreal have always been quite generous with panhandlers and perhaps this is why there are more and more of them every year… this is why they have to be creative : http://betqa.blogspot.com/2006/07/art-of-begging-in-montreal.html

if everybody stops giving those money they will jsut disapear, as long as their bussiness is running, they will expand..
a woman came beggining, she was like 30 or so, we told her why dont u work: she said i cant find work, we said ok help us clean the house for 2 hours and we will pay u, she refused saying shes tired!!!
if u wanna do good, go 2 chairity, there are alot of poor people at their homes, never give those in the street…
