Trex
I really can’t understand my friends, don’t they just get bored from repeating the same thing over and over again ! basically, for the past year or so, my friends had been gathering 3-5 times a week, and playing Trex. And as I hate that game, and not a good player for them to consider me a player, I stay outside their play circle.
Seeing them fighting about the same things “dagait 3al sanak .. karti kart dinari .. laish ma labasto el shaihk”, and the very loud fight after each round of the game, it just makes me sick. I really can’t stand this game because of the way I see them while they are playing it.. basically they will be detached from the world, a full focus on the cards, and counting what’s in and what’s out, and so on.. each time I know that they are gathering and playing Trex I convince myself not to go, but sometimes I do.

I hate cards games also, once I was somehow forced to play bridge with the youth national team, I escaped after one week, I couldn’t understand how people can love to play such games.

i still can’t undertsand what’s the secret behind chosing bent el kobbah
i’m so ignorant in Trex, i remember going with my friends to el-nadi el orthodx once and they were 3 and they needed a 4th person to play Trex, so they had to teach me how to play and i messed up the whole game, finally they found a 4th guy so they kicked me out but politely “faris yalla ya zalameh roo7 esba7 beddak shwayyet reyadah”
but i still wonder why is it bent il kobbah? why isn’t it shabb el sanak or shaikh el pastoni??

Amen to that; may i add, it only gets worse with cigarettes and argeeleh.
But for someone who hasn’t been around these things for 4 full years “dagait 3al sanak .. karti kart dinari .. laish ma labasto el shaihk” made me laugh so hard!

Whats Trex? I only know 6arneeb, my brothers taught me 6arneeb and I became an addict before I take the cards and throw then into the trash bin. Its a waste of time and energy.

thats exactly what happen to me here …
actually here all jordanians loves to play 6arnyeb, they are all addicted to it.
they gather themself and meet all in the “Gahweh” argilah place out side riyadh and start playing and smoking argilah and cegirates until midniht and thats it … i hate to go there but the problem is all of them love to play it … and i hate the voices in that place coz everybody there in gahawah play cards and scream in the same time …
latley i convinced them that they are useless guys and they dont have action in their life … so they left playing cards and we started playing warcraft network game in my house :D

I hate Trex too. You are a passive 75% of the time, just playing the card that causes the least harm for that given cycle. All cycles are similar , you either can’t eat queens, can’t eat king of harts, can’t eat diamonds, can’t eat period. I hate Trex but like tarneeb and play it here in the US with other Jordanian’s. Two tarneeb gurus here have added some rules to the traditional tarneeb, and we call it “progressive traneeb”. It is great and we never play the traditional tarneeb anymore.
