If you are interested on published sources: The movie is based on the book "Inside Hitler's Bunker" by Joachim Fest that is meticulously researched study of the last days. You can also read "At Hitler's Side" by Von Below who was Hitler's Luftwaffe Adjutant, and the original 1946 account by Hugh Trevor-Roper "The Last Days of Hitler" BTW, Here are some German movies that I own and you might enjoy (other than LOLA): DAS BOOT, MOSTLY MARTHA, ALI: FEAR EATS THE SOUL, FREE RADICALS Glad to see other enlightened Jordanians! I am living in Germany (not German though) and the movie greatly affected me. Here in Germany there were many different opinions about this movie (mostly people didn't like Hitler's portrayal iyas mentioned). It is not completely historically accurate (that nice doctor who tried to help everyone was actually a mean Nazi) but nevertheless the viewpoint is interesting and different from most WWII movies one has seen.
