Me and the Laws of Power
A book I started reading recently is “The 48 Laws of Power” by “Robert Greene”. Now this book had been in my to-read list for some years now, and I never got beyond reading the intro, but this time, I am going through with it.
The book attempts to state Laws of Power which according to the writer had been learned through a good read of the history and human nature. When I first read the laws in 2000 I felt that those are evil and unethical laws.. at least this is what I felt at the time. But as I went through reading them, it became more clear to me that it is wrong to judge from the cover and the index of the book. Basically, if I don’t want to practice those laws in my life, I can protect my self from those who do. I am still reading in the 6th law, but for sure, the book for my attention, and I will finish it this time.
We face power games in our daily life, everything starting with your relation with your closest poeple around you, to the most far from you. I don’t have plans to rule the world - like the Brain of Pinky and the Brain - but at least, better rule my life.
