Clean Air
Now that I am back, and all the romance and love for Amman had faded, its all getting back to me. One of the things I enjoyed in Damman is clean air. In Amman, I am from a minority.. that is the non-smokers minority. And it is impossible for us, members in this minority, to enjoy clean, smoke-free air.
Now, at work, the office is smoke-free, but transportation from and to work is “smokeful”. Today, while I was in a Taxi back home, looking from the window, it is hard to see non-smokers .. for some reason young Jordanians are joining the smokers community, and get hooked to this annoying smelly habit.
Back when I used to be a Mayor of a large city in Sim City, one of the first things that I impose is “Clean Air Act” and all the Laws against smoking. I know such Utopia will never exit, but at least, I can hope for clean air.

Welcome back.
Smoking, a bad habit which I really hate, and looking for that day when the smoker try to find place where no one can see him while he taking his cigarette.
For me, recently I’m trying all the best to refuse the “negative smoking”. Previously, I get used to set with smokers and push on my self, but that all going to be changed after reading such news talking about how negative smokers are affected like almost the smokers them self, and realizing how much gravity of that.

Being a smoker myself, I can surprisingly understand the frustration of non-smokers. It’s hard for me, a smoker, to sit around where there is someone smoking when it’s not me. I don’t even want to think about how a non-smoker feels ;)
And, second-hand smoke is NOT ‘almost like’ first-hand smoke. Simple:
X smokes cigarette
Y sits next to X
X is inhaling from the cigarette directly
Y sits idling
X exhales smoke
Y _AND_ X breathe the smoke X blew out
It’s not the same ;)
