Things in 2014
I was listening in the radio to an interview with 2 of the founders of EA Sports, the last question that the host asked was about their vision about gaming after 10 years. One of them was realistic, talking about games in high graphics quality, in near TV-image quality, smarter, more complex gaming, and so.. While the other one talked about having the games get out of the flat panels (TVs, monitors) and have it shape as 3D objects in the air. Now I could not buy what the second guy is saying at all!
I remember 10 years ago, in 1994, I was in 8th grade probably, the year 2004 was for us like too far, being after the year 2000 and so :) As we had many things that will happen in or after 2000, too much is attached to this year with 3 zeros in it. We’ve imagined going to our work in an anti-gravity shuttle in 2004, for trips to space to be more common.
In the 1978 a Japanese Animation called Future Boy Conan (was called عدنان ولينا in the Arab world) it was predicted that in 2008 World War 3 will happen, and the world faced a near extinction of mankind. Now that is scary, and that is only after 4 years from now ! It was as well predicted that money will get lost, economy will crash, power will go down, in the night of December 31st 1999.
My point is .. that I have no point .. it is silly to look into the future and make prediction .. anyhow, I predict that in 10 years WordPress that runs my site will deliver my blog entry through RSS9 feeds to be downloaded directly into your brain through the RedEar (successor of BlueTooth).. Enjoy
