Getting Real
I read today on the news about the new Real Player 10 in Linux. As soon as I installed it, I noticed the most great difference, it looks much better ! now it uses teh GTK 2.0 UI libs, while before it used some X UI libs, so now it looks smooth ,clean, and very welcomeing. for Gnome users, you will feel home :)
I wanted to test it, so I headed to Real Guide and found my self a nice station to listen to, which was BBC Radio 2, and it was good ! So I went to the best streaming site for radio (in my opinion) which is Shoutcast. I found some of the top stations there for music, and started to listen to some :)
I even tried to watch some video clips, movie trailers, and so, it was perfect :) The Helix project is the base of RealPlayer 10, the open-source Helix differ from RealPlayer 10 in including the RealAudio, RealVideo, and MP3 Codecs and plugins. Beside that, it is as great.. for anyone that is using Linux in thier home, or for entertainment at work, grab it now, “o ed3ooli .. ”
“sorry for my poor english” TM :-)
i just want to know what is Helix Project? can i play RAM RM files in Helix player? i really like the screenshots.
My blog is wordpress based too; I got a little tip for you.
There’s an image gallery plugin called Exhibit, pretty simple to install and use. Nicer than linking to images like that :)
