I tried to turn it off a couple of time, to sleep with complete silence, but it did not work, as the weather at night here is unbearable. Youcef, my friend in khobar, says that when you go far from the city (closer to the beach probably) the weather is better because of all the heat from the Air Condition Units. At first I thought this is unrealistic, but now I believe it. The amount of noise and heat generated by the AC units outside the buildings is great.
